About Keystone Resort

Keystone Trail Map

Max Dercum founded Keystone in 1970 with the intention of building a hill that he could ski down with a smile on his face. He succeeded, and when you visit Keystone and ski down any of the three peaks, a smile is sure to grace your face as well!

While skiing in the winter months is the main draw to this world renowned resort there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. Stop by the five-acre skating rink in the center of Lakeside Village and join up with a hockey team or simply glide across the ice taking in the festive coloured lights. For guests who do not to ski or snowboard, however would like to enjoy the scenic mountain views, take a round trip gondola ride on one of Keystones two high speed gondolas.

Another great winter activity is Keystone Adventure Tours, located at the top of the North Peak – This adventure tour company can give you a ride through the back bowls where advanced riders can experience the pure powder of Independence Bowl, Keystone’s newest expert-only terrain, or beginners can see what the back bowls look like from the safety of a snowcat,

Between the three villages of Lakeside, River Run and The Mountain House you will find more then enough shops, world-class restaurants and boutiques to last a lifetime. A four season resort, Keystone features two award winning golf courses as well as mountain biking terrain known worldwide.
