Apex Detailed Description

Challenge yourself and take on the slopes of Apex Mountain Resort. Considered by many to be one of the last hidden gems of Canadian skiing, this winter paradise offers terrain for intermediate, advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders.

Being a relatively undiscovered mountain and receiving an average of 600cm of deep Okanagan powder each year means that your family can enjoy amazing snow conditions and avoid the crowded runs of more popular destinations. Imagine as you cruise down a steep mountain face, fresh powder blowing all around you. The only people within view are your friends and family, who can hardly contain their excitement about finding this terrific mountain.

The central Okanagan location of Apex Mountain means that it receives the perfect mix of precipitation and low humidity to make for the best champagne powder possible. Explore the sixty-seven sprawling runs that traverse this winter wonderland.

After a full day on these challenging slopes, make sure to save some energy for a few of the other exciting activities Apex has to offer. Explore the backcountry on a thrilling snowmobile tour, or take in the awe-inspiring scenery while snowshoeing. For all the hockey fans out there don’t miss the NHL sized rink. The Nickelplate Nordic Centre provides skiers with 56km of groomed cross-country trails, and the longest season in Canada. If your looking for something the whole family can enjoy together regardless of or skill level, make a stop by the Tim Horton’s Tube Park.

The cozy mountain village at Apex offers a diverse selection of restaurants and shops. Enjoy an après-ski drink at one of the coffee shops or a full meal in one of the world-class dining rooms. No trip to Apex would be complete without a stop by the famous Gun Barrel Saloon.

With a convenient location only 35 minutes from Penticton or 1.5 hours from Kelowna, plan to experience Apex resort for your next ski vacation.
