 Since being founded in 1947, Aspen Mountain has provided skiers with some of the best winter terrain in Colorado. Popular for its black-diamond glades, steep cliffs and bumps, 60 years later, you’ll find that – aside from a new gondola – things haven’t changed a bit. The Aspen Highlands area tends to be a local favourite for finding the most extreme terrain, breathtaking views and groomed cruiser runs. Due to Aspens close proximity to the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport this has become one of the most easily accessible resorts in the Rocky Mountains as well as the site of the annual X-Games.
