Sun Peaks Detailed Description

Affectionately nicknamed “Little Whistler” Sun Peaks Resort continues to rapidly expand offering new lodging, shopping and restaurants each season while still preserving its intimate ski village feel. The centrally located village is packed full of things to do as well as offers great ski in/ski out access.

Have you ever experienced a thrilling ride behind a team of Husky sled dogs? How about the joy of riding through blankets of fresh powder on a back country snowmobile tour? These are just a couple of the many activities available. Sun Peaks is also becoming one of the most popular summer mountain destinations offering mountain biking trails, an onsite golf course and full spa services.

Sun Peaks Resort is great for families with children. Imagine the smile on their faces as they ride the mini-snowmobiles, slide run after run in the tube park or go for a swim in the children’s pool.  If parents would like some time to themselves, perhaps to enjoy a quiet meal at one of the many restaurants, take advantage of the child minding center with service available for ages 18 months to 12 years.

Proof of the amazing terrain and enjoyable atmosphere is that Canadian Ski Icon, Nancy Greene calls Sun Peaks home. Olympic Gold Medalist and “Female Athlete of The 20th Century” Nancy Greene is available for private lessons and can be seen out enjoying the slopes on a daily basis.

Located only 50 Km from Kamloops this is the season to make Sun Peaks your vacation destination.
