Mt. Baker Detailed Description

If you're looking for the ultimate ski-vacation in the United States, then Mt Baker is surely one of your top travel destinations to consider. Being one of the snowiest places on the planet, it previously set the world record for largest snowfall in a single season back in 1999 - totalling 1,140 inches in all. It also receives the highest annual snowfall than any other part of the world, with 641 inches, so you can be guaranteed plenty of fresh powder throughout the 1,000 acres of skiable terrain. Skiers will also enjoy the scenic mountain range at Mt Baker Ski Area, being that it's the second most glaciated volcano behind Mt Rainer, and is situated within the vast landscape of the Cascade Range.

Mt Baker offers skiing and snowboarding for all skill levels. It is a popular destination for professional ski and snowboarding, as it is known for having a number of challenging inbound routes and offers many backcountry opportunities that would be highly pleasing to any advanced skiing enthusiast.
