Kimberley Detailed Description

The perfect family destination, Kimberley Alpine Resort provides a ski vacation that everyone can enjoy. Full of history, this friendly ski town is nicknamed the "Bavarian City of the Rockies.”

Known across Canada as a resort offering consistent snow conditions, short lift lines and an abundance of sunny days, Kimberley is a destination many guests return to year after year. Over the past several seasons Kimberley had continued extensive terrain expansions and on-mountain improvements developing into a true family resort. Guests enjoy 1800 acres of varied terrain from long groomers, cruisers, moguls, expansive glades and an exclusive beginners area. Offering a variety of restaurants and shops, this charming resort town is complimented by friendly locals teaming with Canadian Spirit.

Constantly striving to provide the most consistent snow surface, the team at Kimberley Alpine Resort takes full advantage of summer grooming techniques, which involve altering the surface of the mountain to better provide smooth groomed runs or challenging bumps, once the snow flies. Bush crews have put in a significant amount of work to the front side of the mountain improving the Rosa, Buckhorn, Mambo, Utopia, Stemwinder and Twilight areas.

New this year, guests can utilize the North Star Trail, which offers access from below the skiers bridge directly to your destination in the Resort Plaza. Also new for this season are Moe’s Trail an intermediate run on the hill and a new access trail directly from the top of the Tamarack Chair to the Stemwinder Run.

Located in Southeast British Columbia, Kimberley Alpine Resort is a 4 hour drive from nearby Calgary, Alberta. For those guests travelling from the coast it is approximately 11 hours from Vancouver.
