Jasper Detailed Description

Jasper National Park is located deep within the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Here snow-capped peaks line the Alberta skyline and the unspoiled wilderness offers travelers the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife and scenic beauty. The National Park is home to many different animals such as elk, bears, mountain goats and more. Whether you choose to hike, for a chance to spot a grizzly bear, or simply enjoy the view from the comfort of your vehicle, everyone is sure to enjoy the experience.

Take the short 20 minute drive from the town of Jasper and explore the alpine slopes of Marmot Basin. This family friendly mountain resort provides an immense 3000 feet of vertical divided into 84 well marked trails. With a large amount of terrain dedicated to beginner and intermediate level skiers and snowboarders, this truly is a mountain everyone can enjoy.

The town of Jasper is filled with friendly locals, many unique shops and boutique stores and is home to a variety of tour companies offering fishing, hiking and rafting in the summer. During the winter months skiing and snowboarding at Marmot Basin is the most popular activity, however there plenty of other things to do. Experience a guided snowmobile trip, an inspiring icefield tour or take in the scenery while snowshoeing one of the many trails.
