Deer Valley Detailed Description
Deer Valley Resort has a long history of being one of the top destinations for skiing. However, the skiing isn’t the only reason to come to Deer Valley. The food is among some of the best in the world, and not just at a ski resort. There are three lodges right on the mountain that mirror the treatment that you will get skiing. Pampered. You may have to call ahead for reservations though. Especially for the seafood buffet at The Snow Park Lodge.
Deer Valley Resort is one of only a handful of North American resorts to offer the SlopeTracker™ GPS system to skiers. SlopeTracker™ devices use Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to enable skiers to track every aspect of their experience on Deer Valley’s slopes, including total runs skied, vertical feet traveled, calories burned, top skiing speed, time spent on snow, steepness of hills skied, distance traveled and more.
Guests wear a 3-ounce tracking device mounted on an armband while they ski Deer Valley’s slopes. The device automatically records the skier’s number of runs, vertical feet traveled, calories burned, distance traveled and more. At the end of the day, guests return the armband to the Snow Park Lodge Guests Services Desk, where they’ll receive a poster-quality, frame-ready printout map of Deer Valley’s mountains, showing runs skied in sequential order as well as a tabular representation of the individual’s daily statistics.
SlopeTracker™ devices are available for rent every day of the winter ski season at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge Guest Services Desk, located in the lodge lobby and open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost of the SlopeTracker™ rental is $30/day and includes the map.
Sorry, no snowboarders please.
